{"id":228,"date":"2022-01-26T12:45:11","date_gmt":"2022-01-26T18:45:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ha.lc\/?p=228"},"modified":"2022-01-26T13:18:21","modified_gmt":"2022-01-26T19:18:21","slug":"use-openwrt-19-07-02-with-tplink-decom5-v3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ha.lc\/?p=228","title":{"rendered":"Use OpenWRT 19.07.7 With TPLink DecoM5 V3"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Here I am linking two files I compiled myself with some motivation from some nice people at the OpenWRT IRC Channel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And thanks to the modifications made to the source code by frankveltmans @ github <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The linked firmware is a fairly simple version, having LuCI but only as http service and with WPAD-Wolf or Openssl precompiled (I forgot which one) but 802.11s works. I think the factory.bin file has the same things as the sysupgrade, but I&#8217;m not sure. I installed both anyway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you need any other packages precompiled in the firmware let me know, as all the sources and stuff are on the server anyway and it&#8217;s fairly easy to recompile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To install you will need to follow these instructions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/service-provider.tp-link.com\/nl\/events\/502\/\">https:\/\/service-provider.tp-link.com\/nl\/events\/502\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Make sure you change the filename of squashfs-factory to <strong>M5v1_tp_recovery.bin <\/strong> or else the router will not take it. The sysupgrade one you can then later add through LuCI.
